Compress Images Online for Free

Reduce image file sizes with measured quality settings, resizing, targets and batch ZIP exports.

AVIF/HEIC input depends on your browser’s actual decoder. Output formats are PNG, JPEG and supported WebP. Animated images, SVG and GIF are not supported.

Choose an image to begin. AI models load only when needed; no image is uploaded.

How to use Compress Image

  1. Choose up to 12 still images, within the combined 50 MB limit.
  2. Select a preset, output format, quality and optional dimensions or size target. Enable additional resizing only if you want it.
  3. Compress, compare actual sizes and dimensions, then download individual files or all results as a ZIP.

Formats, privacy and practical limits

Images are decoded and processed in your browser. MyDocverter receives no image contents. The AI runtime and model files come from this website only, on demand. Standard image exports discard original metadata; check orientation and colour before sharing.

Each input is limited to 20 MB and 16 megapixels. Batches support up to 12 images and 50 MB combined input. Output is limited to 16 megapixels. Background masks use a maximum 1,600-pixel longest edge; AI upscaling accepts up to 512 × 512 pixels and produces a genuine 2× result. These safeguards cannot guarantee that every device has enough memory.

Frequently asked questions

Does it really try to reach 100 KB?

Yes. For lossy formats it measures actual encoded files at multiple quality values. Optional downscaling adds bounded further attempts. It reports when the target is not met.

Why did my PNG grow?

PNG uses lossless encoding and ignores JPEG-style quality. A rewritten image or metadata changes can increase size. Compare actual bytes and keep the original if preferred.

Will transparency survive?

PNG and supported WebP preserve alpha. JPEG uses your selected solid background because it has no transparency.
