How to use Remove Background

1. Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP image and inspect the original preview.
2. Choose General subject or Portrait mode, then select Remove Background. The real model downloads on first use.
3. Choose transparency, a solid colour or your own replacement background. Brush the mask if needed, then download the PNG.

Formats, privacy and practical limits

Images are decoded and processed in your browser. MyDocverter receives no image contents. The AI runtime and model files come from this website only, on demand. Standard image exports discard original metadata; check orientation and colour before sharing.

Each input is limited to 20 MB and 16 megapixels. Batches support up to 12 images and 50 MB combined input. Output is limited to 16 megapixels. Background masks use a maximum 1,600-pixel longest edge; AI upscaling accepts up to 512 × 512 pixels and produces a genuine 2× result. These safeguards cannot guarantee that every device has enough memory.

Is removal actually AI?

Yes. U2NetP predicts a foreground mask; MODNet predicts portrait alpha. Both run locally with ONNX Runtime Web. This is not white-pixel deletion.

Can I change the background without repeating AI?

Yes. Colours, replacement images, positioning and mask edits reuse the existing result.

Will every hair edge be perfect?

No. Fast models can misclassify hair, transparent objects and complex scenes. Review the result, change model or use the mask brush.

Is it free, and do I need an account?

All tools are free, without accounts, watermarks or subscriptions. Advertising remains inactive in this release.
